This is the biggest shift I'm seeing. And it's not hype.
What it is: Marketing that prioritizes emotional resonance and cultural relevance over polished perfection.
Why it matters: People are exhausted by corporate content. They want authentic. They want real. They want vibe.
What to do: Stop obsessing over perfect production. Start focusing on genuine connection. Use AI to help you stay culturally relevant without living online 24/7.
Search volume for "vibe marketing" is up 686% year over year. This is real.
Real Trend #2: AI Search Optimization (GEO)
Generative Engine Optimization is the new SEO.
What it is: Optimizing content to appear in AI-generated search results (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews).
Why it matters: More people are searching with AI than ever. If you're not showing up in those results, you're invisible.
What to do:
- Create comprehensive, factual content
- Use clear structure and formatting
- Include quotable statistics and definitions
- Build authority through citations and mentions

The reality: Usage is tiny. ROI is unclear. Most businesses should focus elsewhere.
Exception: Gaming and Gen Z brands. Maybe. But for most of you? Skip it.
Overhyped Trend #3: Web3 Marketing
The hype: "Blockchain will revolutionize marketing!"
The reality: 99% of businesses don't need Web3 marketing. The use cases are niche. The execution is complicated.
Exception: Crypto-native products. For everyone else? Focus on what works now.

Priority 3: Embrace Authentic Content
Polished is out. Real is in. This doesn't mean sloppy—it means genuine.
Priority 4: Intent Over Interruption
Stop interrupting people who might be interested. Start finding people who already are.
The Opportunities Most People Miss
While everyone chases trends, here's what's actually underrated:
Email Marketing + AI: Personalized email sequences that feel 1:1. Still the highest ROI channel.
